Multiple Autoimmune Syndrome

I’m pleased to have recently found a new online support group, via Facebook, for those who have multiple autoimmune syndrome (MAS). This disorder is diagnosed when an individual has three or more autoimmune disorders.

To date, I have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Both are autoimmune disorders.

I’ve also been diagnosed with idiopathic subglottic stenosis, which is presumed to also be autoimmune in pathophysiology.

It’s good to know that there’s a support group for those of us with MAS. It’s very challenging to obtain adequate social support when you fall into a very rare category.

I look forward to receiving and sharing information with this new group.
