I have to admit that I am beginning to feel somewhat anxious about my upcoming surgeries. In only four days, I’ll be receiving a total laparoscopic hysterectomy, oophorectomy, plus bladder sling surgery.
It’s been extremely helpful to have recently joined a Menopause Support Group on Facebook as I’m going through this important transition in my life. Knowing that there are other women facing the very same issues is tremendously encouraging.
I certainly pray that there are no surgical complications as I undergo multiple procedures on the same day. Thankfully, my subglottic stenosis is currently at only approximately 30% occlusion.
I’m very concerned about the possible emotional consequences of undergoing a complete hysterectomy. I’ve not yet discussed the possibility of initiating hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as a treatment option.
