Surgery in Early July

I saw my gynecologist this afternoon. We discussed a range of surgical options for the treatment of my persistent menorrhagia.

I’ve decided to have a total hysterectomy. My quality of life has been significantly impaired by having heavy periods for decades. I have developed iron-deficiency anemia as a result of this chronic problem.

I had expected to reach menopause by my current age, but it simply hasn’t yet occurred. It’s completely unacceptable to keep living this way.

During this appointment, I also mentioned my concerns regarding stress incontinence. We discussed treatment options for this issue. Consequently, I’ve decided to have bladder sling surgery to correct my incontinence.

Since it’s enormously stressful for your body to keep receiving general anesthesia, I’ve decided to address all of my concerns with undergoing a single surgery. I’ll undergo a complete hysterectomy, along with bladder sling surgery, on July 6.
