Flu Outbreak in Nursing Home

I’m again working in a nursing home today. Several residents here have the flu, on the second floor of this facility. (Last week, there were increased flu cases on the third floor of this same facility!)

Given that I still have Aubagio in my system, I’ve decided that it’s simply not safe for me to see residents on those floors with several confirmed cases of the flu. I’ve not disclosed any of my chronic medical conditions to this facility’s director of social work.

The director of social work is responsible for all of the referrals that I receive. I simply informed her that it’s not safe for me to see those residents who have the flu, due to being on immunosuppressant medication.

I’ve suspended my Aubagio washout protocol for today, due to needing to work. I’ve now completed three days of taking 4 mg. of Questran, three times per day. I still need to take 8 mg. of Questran, three times per day, for eleven days.
