Last December, I submitted updated information about my recent work experiences to the Social Security Administration.
Earlier this week, I received a letter from the Social Security Administration. It stated that they were not sure if I would be able to continue to receive my monthly disability benefits after April 2020.
I was invited to submit additional information about my work experiences to the Social Security Administration. I plan on doing so.
Thankfully, this letter also stated that my Medicare health insurance benefits would not be impacted by my working.
I know full well that I am not capable of going back to work full-time, given my multiple chronic conditions. Nevertheless, I’m all but convinced that I’ll soon fail to receive my monthly disability benefits.
Quite honestly, I feel penalized for being ambitious enough to attempt working part-time, despite serious health concerns. Given my advanced educational background, I soon hit the ceiling for what I’m allowed to earn while receiving disability benefits, known as Substantial Gainful Activity.
