Each Saturday morning, I teach a Principles of Psychology class. It meets for close to three hours.
This is certainly a long class period to fill. I try to have a balance of delivering lecture material, supplemented by in class completion of several different exercises.
It’s been somewhat challenging to engage my students in an active conversation. Certain students consistently contribute to class discussions, whereas others definitely do not.
None of the students in my class aspire to major in psychology. The majority of them are enrolled in a medical assisting program.
