Behind the Scenes

Being an adjunct professor really involves a lot of work. There are so many tasks that need to be completed “behind the scenes” for each new lecture.

For example, each week I utilize the Instructor’s Resource Manual for my Principles of Psychology class’s textbook. I select which master handouts that I want to use for my next class, and make copies of all of them. Since I teach a weekend course, it’s not as easy for me to use any campus resources for completion of this task.

Today, I’m struggling with irritation and tearing in my right eye. This is definitely my more vulnerable eye. It’s the one that has been affected by optic neuritis, multiple times. So, I decided to wear my glasses today, as opposed to my contact lenses. If my symptoms should persist, I’ll definitely phone my eye doctor for an appointment.
