This evening, I’ll be attending an orientation session for new faculty members. I’m really thankful for this opportunity.
Previous adjunct teaching opportunities were not accompanied by any type of orientation sessions. Despite my completion of an advanced degree, I’ve never completed a single course in education.
I’m looking forward to receiving information about how to teach. I don’t doubt my overall command of the specific material that I’ll be teaching. However, I’m in need of receiving constructive criticism about my teaching performance.
This will be a very long day, since I need to drive more than an hour to attend this orientation session. I’ve been spending some time today planning for tomorrow’s Abnormal Psychology lecture. We’ll be discussing behavioral, as well as cognitive, models of psychopathology.
