This past Monday, I underwent surgery. I had several endometrial polyps removed. I experienced significant pain after this surgery.
As a result of my continued discomfort, I called into work yesterday. I simply mentioned that I had had surgery, and needed to change which day of the week that I’d be working this week.
I went back to work today. The director of social work at the nursing home where I work asked if I was feeling better. I simply shared that I was feeling much better than I had been feeling. I chose to not mention anything about the specific type of surgery that I had undergone.
I view the discomfort from this recent surgery as temporary. It pales in comparison to the many challenges that are associated with my multiple chronic illnesses.
