This morning, I had my pre-surgical consultation with my gynecologist. I’ll be having surgery, to remove an endometrial polyp, on July 1.
I’m continuing to suffer from heavy menstrual periods, as well as low back pain. My gynecologist is not certain that removing my endometrial polyp will correct this issue. If it doesn’t, my best option is to have a total hysterectomy.
Prior to my upcoming surgery, I need to obtain medical clearance from my primary care physician. This will involve bloodwork, plus completion of a chest x-ray and EKG.
Given my history of subglottic stenosis, my gynecologist is especially concerned about my reception of general anesthesia. I’ll contact my ENT’s office to relay this concern.
Right now, I’m waiting to obtain baseline bloodwork for starting Aubagio, to treat my relapsing-remitting MS.
My plate certainly remains very full, indeed. I sincerely hope that the severity of some of my medical issues can be attenuated, with reception of surgery.
