This morning, I met with the administrator of a new nursing home, in the small town where I used to live. They’re very interested in having me provide psychological services for their residents, one day per week.
Coincidentally, I happened to be at this very nursing home six months ago today, where I was a vendor for a holiday shopping event. It’s truly amazing just how very much my entire life has changed within the past six months.
Today also happens to be international MS Awareness Day; this designation promotes the importance of recognizing the impact of this disease’s invisible symptoms.
I’ve often thought that I could be the poster woman for invisible MS symptoms. I was affected by several such symptoms, all throughout my meeting with the nursing home’s staff members. Although totally unseen to others, I was experiencing paresthesias in my lower extremities.
