Today is a really warm day. Most everyone is happy with the hot weather, since we’ve happened to have a very rainy, cool spring so far.
Nevertheless, I have very heat-sensitive relapsing-remitting MS. Hot, humid weather is definitely not my friend.
Already, I can feel my legs losing sensation in this excessive heat. I can still remember when these very same legs used to go for a long run in the hot summer days.
I feel extra clumsy today, having dropped several things as a result of my upper extremity numbness. Thankfully, they weren’t breakable.
My extreme heat sensitivity is yet another hidden aspect of living with MS. It’s not readily apparent to someone just by looking at me.
