Tomorrow morning, I’ll be having throat dilatation surgery, for my idiopathic subglottic stenosis. For the 19th time since 2006!
It’s hard for me to believe that I am having yet another throat surgery. Only six months ago, I had my most recent surgery.
I’ll phone the hospital where I am having surgery, to obtain the exact time that I’ll need to arrive for my procedure. At this point, I’m painfully familiar with the pre-operative procedure for this type of surgery.
I can only imagine what I will be thinking and feeling prior to undergoing a tracheal re-section, a much more aggressive surgical option for treating my subglottic stenosis. Next month, I’ll be traveling to the Cleveland Clinic to receive a second opinion regarding this surgical option.
