Moving Day

Today, it’s moving day! My shortness of breath is getting much worse, with only minimal exertion.

Thankfully, there are people helping us move. I am extremely limited in what I can do at this point to provide much assistance at all. My airway is currently only 40% occluded.

I’m scheduled to have another throat dilatation surgery in early May, after I finish teaching my General Psychology class. At this rate, I’m not sure that I can actually hold out that long.

I really need to find out how long it’s going to take me to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lorenz at the Cleveland Clinic, for a second opinion regarding a much more aggressive surgical option. After thirteen years and eighteen dilatation surgeries, I am finally ready to consider an aggressive, high-risk surgical option to treat my highly recurrent subglottic stenosis.

I never could have imagined that I would be seeking a second opinion about a tracheal re-section.

I feel utterly miserable.
