My body is amazing. Yes, you read that correctly.
Despite all of my medical diagnoses, I am still here. My heart still beats, despite having been broken multiple times. Against all odds, it recently fell in love with a wonderful man who is truly worthy of my affection.
I’m still breathing, even though it’s not so very easy right now. My vision, previously lost with multiple episodes of optic neuritis, remains fully intact. My legs are currently feeling weak and wobbly, but I’m still walking after more than twenty-five years after my diagnosis of relapsing-remitting MS.
After so many episodes of major depression, I’ve found multiple reasons to want to keep waking up each morning. To thrive, not just survive.
Life is very hard, but life is also completely amazing.
