Ennui of Chronic Illness

Dealing with the myriad challenges of living with chronic illness gets very old. It becomes so very monotonous to deal with highly recurrent health conditions.

Yes, there are occasional periods of respite from the ongoing weariness of health problems that will never go away. These, unfortunately, are interspersed with periods of increased symptom severity.

Today, I have been experiencing increased symptoms of two chronic illnesses. My subglottic stenosis has been worsening, and I’m also struggling with heightened MS symptoms.

My increased MS symptoms include numbness and tingling in my lower extremities, plus uncomfortable spasticity in both my arms and legs.

Yes, I will get through this trial. Nevertheless, I am bone weary of dealing with symptoms that never go away.
