Getting Sick while Chronically Ill

I’ve recently managed to catch a cold. I feel really miserable with my stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion. As miserable as these symptoms are for everyone, they’re even more of a problem for those of us who are living with chronic illness.

Recently, I’ve been noticing that my subglottic stenosis is slowly creeping back; my last dilation was only slightly more than four months ago. Having a cold exacerbates my throat clearing, as it impacts my mucus production. Catching a cold also definitely impacts my overall energy level. Nevertheless, I’m very happy that Amantadine is continuing to lessen the severity of my MS fatigue.
