Dual Appointments

Managing chronic illness is really a lot of work. It’s actually a full-time job, in fact. In addition to scheduling my multiple medical appointments with a wide variety of specialists, I also take my elderly mother to all of her doctor’s visits.

I recently realized that there’s a conflict between my mother’s follow-up appointment with her new primary care physician, and my follow-up appointment with my neurologist. Therefore, one of these appointments will need to be rescheduled. Honestly, it’s really challenging to juggle so many demands when you feel truly exhausted.
