Recently, I’ve been experiencing increased fatigue. I strongly suspect that there are multiple factors that contribute to my experience of increased exhaustion. Actually, debilitating fatigue is a prominent symptom of more than one of my chronic illnesses. I’ve been experiencing an exceptionally high level of stress recently, for many different reasons. Although many of the stressors that I am currently encountering are positive ones, they still remain very stressful. After all, each positive event that has been taking place in my life does require a series of ongoing adjustments and adaptations. My body simply doesn’t have the capacity to respond to stress, whether it is positive or negative, in the same way that a healthy body adapts to increased stress. Undoubtedly, I experience much more significant fatigue when I am feeling very stressed.
