Today, my students are taking their final examination for my Abnormal Psychology class. I’m amazed by how quickly this semester has flown by. I’m very grateful to have been given the opportunity to teach this course again. Doing so has certainly been very challenging, given my persistent health challenges.
During this semester, I’ve encountered severe shortness of breath, requiring my 17th throat dilatation surgery. I’ve also struggled with periodic hot flashes. My fatigue level has consistently been very severe throughout teaching this class. In addition, I developed a severe cold, which evolved into strep throat. Despite all of these health problems, I’m happy to report that I only needed to cancel just one class during the entire semester.
