Missing Out

When you’re living with chronic illness, you can often spend a lot of time feeling that you’re missing out. Due to dealing with increased symptoms, you’re forced to miss out on well-intentioned invitations to interesting activities.

It’s not easy to deal with the extreme isolation that frequently accompanies chronic illness. You can often feel like life is truly passing you by. Of course, this only compounds the degree of suffering that is already experienced by those dealing with extended illnesses.

I’m very thankful for others who try their best to understand what I’m experiencing, even if they’ve never dealt with chronic illness themselves.
