Overthinking and Insomnia

I suffer from sleep-termination insomnia. Whereas I have relatively minimal difficulty with being able to initially asleep, I routinely struggle with being able to remain asleep. Of course, this repeated pattern results in heightened fatigue levels the following day.

In addition, my mood is negatively affected. My speed of information processing is impaired, for the completion of relatively more demanding cognitive tasks, or for attempting to learn new material.

I wake up feeling very fatigued, which is certainly not a very pleasant way to begin any given new day. It halves pleasure, as well as doubles frustration. I think that I simply have way too much on my mind.

I have been prescribed medication for my difficulties with sleep-termination insommia. I dislike using it, however; it typically results in developing a headache the following morning after it is taken.
