I just found out that my surgeon’s schedule is running two hours behind today. My IV has already been started. I’m feeling very relaxed as I face this dilatation surgery. It is deeply comforting to know that so many individuals are praying for me at this time.
I’m very blessed to have a good friend from church provide my transportation to my surgery today. Today happens to be my mother’s 89th birthday. I have been very deeply blessed to have my precious mother for so long.
She is an exceptionally strong woman of faith. She consistently thinks of others, before herself. She is the most giving, selfless person that I know. I credit my mother’s prayers for my still being here today, despite facing overwhelming challenges during my life.
It seems strange to not be getting ready to teach my Abnormal Psychology class this afternoon, since today is a Tuesday.
