I just completed my pre-surgical screening questions, with a nurse, from the local hospital where I will be having surgery tomorrow. Honestly, I’ve had this procedure done so many times that I could actually administer the extensive series of screening questions myself.
It’s important to stop taking certain medications several days before surgery; in my case, this includes my Vitamin D and ferrous sulfate prescriptions.
It’s necessary to take my other medications as prescribed, even the morning of my surgery itself. This is especially true for anti-hypertensive medications.
The screening nurse made a comment about how very short of breath I was, simply trying to answer her questions. I simply can’t wait to experience relief.
