Struggling to Breathe

Just a few more days remain before I can finally have throat dilatation surgery. I simply can’t wait. It’s so miserable to find yourself gasping for air, only because you complete everyday tasks.

Simply getting dressed leaves me audibly gasping for air at this point. If I’m just sitting, my limitations are not apparent. Taking just a short walk now necessitates an extended throat clearing session. I’m curious about just how advanced my subglottic stenosis is at this point.

I was 80% occluded on October 1, and my symptoms have definitely worsened since then. I would not be surprised to have my ENT surgeon soon inform me that my blockage had most recently reached the 90th percentile.
