Illness Interfering, Again

After waiting for an extended period of time, I finally have a date scheduled for my next throat dilatation surgery. It will be next Tuesday, on October 16. This means that I will need to cancel teaching my Abnormal Psychology class that day. I really didn’t want to have to do this.

The operating room’s availability, as well as my ENT surgeon’s schedule, take precedence over my particular plans on any given day. I recently informed the chairperson of the psychology department that I will need to cancel class on that day; I did not specifically state the exact reason why.

I was really hoping that I would be able to make it through the entire semester without my chronic health problems creating a need to adjust my schedule. Once again, illness has interfered with my plans.
