Whether or not we enjoy good health, we are all here only temporarily. Yesterday, I was saddened to receive an update about a former co-worker’s medical condition. She has metastatic brain cancer. She and her husband have made the decision to stop chemotherapy, since it is no longer working.
I worked with this woman in Illinois, at a nursing home, for several years. She was a most vibrant director of a dementia unit. My heart aches for her, and her family, as she declines. Please be sure to make your life count. We never know how long we have to do so.
