Last night was a particularly difficult one. I awoke in the middle of the night, to violently clear my throat. This marathon session of attempting to open my airway lasted for a full hour. It provides the most transient type of relief.
Once again, I’m facing all of the inconveniences associated with scheduling yet another throat dilatation surgery. I have to have a very uncomfortable, in-office bronchoscopy; this will determine my current degree of occlusion.
On top of it, I’m now going to need to schedule surgery around my pre-existing work commitments. (I’ve certainly been through this before, when I was previously working full-time).
I’m definitely phoning my ENT surgeon tomorrow morning, to get an appointment as soon as possible. Thankfully, his staff is fully aware of just how very serious my airway narrowing truly is.
