Those of us who are living with chronic illness often need to take multiple medications, on a long-term basis. This is even more true if you happen to have multiple chronic diagnoses, as I certainly do.
It is no easy task to remember to take all of your medications at the correct time. However, for medications to work optimally, it is essential that they be taken on a regular basis, at the same time each day.
Therefore, using a weekly medi-set is an excellent suggestion. I initially resisted doing so, perceiving that this type of organization was best suited blue-haired ladies in faded housedresses.
Nevertheless, my medication list has only grown longer as time has gone by. I now set aside time, once a week, to set up my daily oral medications. Doing so eliminates that nagging thought, “Did I take that round white pill already?”
